MEMORANDUMOF UNDERSTANDING ON COOPERATION BETWEEN THE DIPLOMATIC ACADEMY OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA AND THE KOREA NATIONAL DIPLOMATIC ACADEMY OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA("Off. Herald of RS - Treaties", No. 8/2016) |
The Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Korea National Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (hereinafter referred to as the "Sides")
Wishing to promote and develop mutual cooperation between the Sides with a goal of the better education and training of the diplomatic staff of the two countries as well as the promotion of their research activities,
Have reached the following understanding:
Paragraph 1
The Sides will actively exchange information on their study programs, courses, seminars and other academic activities they intend to organize.
Paragraph 2
The Sides will exchange information on new teaching methods developed and applied in their syllabi.
Paragraph 3
The Sides will exchange, on reciprocal basis, professors, lectures, experts, researchers and students in the fields of mutual interest, with a view to upgrading their professional qualifications.
Paragraph 4
The Sides will establish a proper system for the periodic exchange of information on publications, magazines, articles, studies, research papers as well as for exchange of publications related to their fields of interest such as international relations or foreign affairs.
Paragraph 5
The Sides will consider the possibility of organizing conferences and specialized training courses or seminars for diplomats and government officials in diplomacy and international affairs, to be held alternately in the Republic of Korea and in the Republic of Serbia.
Paragraph 6
The Sides will facilitate joint scientific research, projects and printing of publications on subjects of mutual interest, particularly those that contribute to dissemination of knowledge of the relations between the countries.
Paragraph 7
Experts of one Side may participate in conferences, symposia and roundtables hosted by the other Side. The Sides will duly inform each other of such events.
Paragraph 8
Each Side will bear its own expenses arising from the cooperation under this Memorandum of Understanding or, if the Sides so decide, the issue will addressed on the basis of reciprocity subject to the domestic laws, regulations and availability of appropriate funds of the respective countries.
Paragraph 9
This MOU is not intended to create any legally binding obligations.
Paragraph 10
This Memorandum will come into effect on the day of its signature and will be valid for a period of three (3) years and will be automatically extended for subsequent periods of three years unless one Side notifies the other, at least ninety (90) days prior to its expiration that it intends to terminate it.
