Delegations representing the Aeronautical Authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Aeronautical Authorities of the Republic of Serbia met in Astana on 14-16 November 2016 to discuss matters of common interest relating to establishment of direct air services between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Serbia.
The list of the two delegations is attached as Appendix I.
The discussions were held in a friendly spirit and cordial atmosphere that characterize the relationship between the two countries.
Operations during the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan
Recognizing the importance of establishing direct air services between the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as ”Kazakhstan”) and Republic of Serbia (hereinafter referred to as ”Serbia”), taking into account the friendly aviation relations between the countries, and in order to provide International specialized Exhibition EXPO-2017 with necessary air services between Kazakhstan and Serbia, Kazakhstan gives the rights for the designated airlines of Serbia to operate 7 flights per week to Astana from any point in Serbia during the period of IATA Summer Season 2017.

Both delegations recognised the necessity for the establishment of a long-term legal framework for the operation of scheduled air services between the two countries, and agreed to continue with already initiated procedure for the conclusion of the Air Services Agreement as soon as practicable.
