MEMORANDUMOF UNDERSTANDING ON COOPERATION BETWEEN THE DIPLOMATIC ACADEMY OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA AND THE FOREIGN SERVICE INSTITUTE OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA("Off. Herald of RS - Treaties", No. 10/2018) |
The Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Foreign Service Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia (hereinafter referred to as: the Parties) in the spirit of cooperation that has traditionally existed between two countries and wishing to promote and develop mutual cooperation between the two diplomatic institutions aimed at better education and training of the diplomatic staff and government officials of the two countries as well as at the promotion of their research activities, have agreed as follows:
Article 1
The Parties shall actively exchange information on their study programs, courses, seminars and other academic activities they intend to organize.
Article 2
The Parties shall exchange information on new teaching methods developed and applied in the syllabi of the two diplomatic institutions.
Article 3
The Parties shall, through this cooperation, exchange on a reciprocal basis professors, lecturers, experts and researchers, students in the fields of mutual interests, with a view to upgrading their professional qualifications.
Article 4
The Parties shall establish a proper system for exchange of periodic information on publications, magazines, articles, studies, research papers as well as for exchange of publications related to their field of interest, international relations or foreign affairs.
Article 5
The Parties shall consider the possibility of organizing conferences, specialized training courses or seminars for diplomats and government officials in diplomacy and international affairs, to be held alternately in the Republic of Serbia and in the Republic of Liberia.
Article 6
The Parties shall facilitate mutual scientific research, projects and printing of publications on subjects of mutual interest, particularly those that contribute to dissemination of knowledge of the relations between the two countries.
Article 7
Experts of one Party may participate in conferences, symposia and roundtables hosted by the other Party. The Parties shall duly inform each other of such events.
Article 8
Either Party shall bear the expenses of the above cooperation or, if the Parties so decide, the issue shall be addressed on the basis of reciprocity.
Article 9
This Memorandum shall enter into force on the day of its signing and shall be valid for a period of three (3) years and may be tacitly extended for the same period except in case one Party notifies the other, at least ninety (90) days prior to its expiration, that it intends to terminate it.
