PROTOCOLBETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY AND WATER MANAGEMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA AND THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA ON COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF SCIENTIFIC AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES, TECHNICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS, TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMS IN THE FIELD OF AGRICULTURE("Off. Recalling the Agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture between the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Liberia, signed in Belgrade, on 20th June 2018, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement";
Desiring to foster friendly relations and improve cooperation in the field of agriculture between the two countries;
Based on a common tendency towards mutually beneficial deepening of this cooperation and supporting the tendency towards improving partnership relations in the field of modernization of the agro-industrial complex,
Wishing to implement additional areas of cooperation as set up in Article 2 letter 8), 9) and 10) of the aforesaid the Agreement which could be of common interests for both Parties;
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Liberia, hereinafter referred to as "the Parties";
Have agreed as follows:
Article 1
In order to achieve effective cooperation, the Parties will support and encourage concrete cooperation in the following areas:
- Exchange of scientific and technical information;
- Development and introduction of modern technologies in the field of agriculture;
- Cooperation in organizing training and vocational programs;
- Encouraging cooperation between institutions in the field of agriculture and related sectors;
Article 2
The parties shall be developed further joint initiatives aiming at a quality-based agriculture such as:
- Achievements in scientific research, as well as implementation of joint research programs in the field of agriculture;
- Exchange of information and experience on findings in agriculture field and dissemination of best practices;
- Organizing the symposia, seminars, conferences, exhibitions and fairs dedicated to various spheres of agriculture;
- Joint visits of representatives of scientific and research institutions; The research and educational institutions of both countries play a key role in the field of modernization.
Article 3
In order to assure a good level of cooperation, the Parties shall support respective national associations, organizations and institutions from both the public and the private sector.
Article 4
The present Protocol shall become integral part of the Agreement, shall be in conformity with national and international legislation as established in Article 2 and 4 of the Agreement.
