JOINT COMMUNIQUE

ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA AND ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA

The Governments of the Republic of Serbia and Antigua and Barbuda;

Guided by their mutual willingness to develop and strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two States in political, economic, social and other fields, in accordance with the principles and norms enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, International Law and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 18 April 1961;

Have decided through the exchange of diplomatic notes to establish diplomatic and consular relations as of 28 September 2018 and agreed to exchange their diplomatic representatives on a non-resident basis.

The Governments of the Republic of Serbia and Antigua and Barbuda wish to express their mutual confidence that establishing diplomatic relations correspond to the interest of both States and will help to consolidate international peace and security through peaceful co-existence.

In witness thereof, the undersigned Representatives, duly authorized by their respective Governments, have signed this Joint Communique, in duplicate.

Done in New York, in two original copies, on 28 September 2018.
