MEMORANDUMOF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) IN THE FIELD OF SPORTS BETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF SPORTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA AND THE MINISTRY OF SPORT AND YOUTH OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN("Off. Herald of RS - Treaties", No. 1/2024) |
Preamble
The Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Serbia and The Ministry of Sport and Youth of the Islamic Republic of Iran (hereinafter referred to separately as "Party" and collectively as "the Parties"), in order to develop bilateral relations and cooperation in the field of sports with the aim of strengthening friendship and improving mutual understanding;
Have reached the following understanding:
Paragraph 1
Considering each country’s domestic laws and regulations, the Parties will assist each other based on mutual benefits to develop and improve cooperation in the field of sports.
Paragraph 2
1 - The Parties will encourage and support mutual cooperation of high ranking officials and expert delegations.
2 - The Parties may exchange their views and coordinate with each other with respect to topics of the international organizations which are active in the field of sports.
3 - The Parties will provide the necessary conditions for the exchange of information and educational, scientific and cultural experiences in relation to the sports sector and the organization of workshops in the field of sports.
4 - The Parties will exchange their expert delegations and teams, as needed, in order to participate in events, manifestations, festivals, camps and friendly visits in the field of sports. To achieve this, the Parties will encourage cooperation of both countries’ sports related organizations.
5 - The Parties will exchange sports specialists and experts with the purpose of joint training activities and exchange of experience.
6 - The Parties will encourage and support the participation of experts and talented youth of both countries in international sports events.
7 - The Parties will share their experience concerning the creation of supportive grounds for the work of organizations in the field of sports.
8 - The Parties will support the exchange of information on the experience obtained in the planning and building of sports facilities and installation of sports equipment.
9 - The Parties will share their experience in sport medicine and fight against negative phenomena in sport.
10 - The Parties will support each other in holding the international events in the fields of sports organized in each of the two countries, as well as the exchange of visits in order to strengthen cooperation in the field of sport tourism.
11 - The Iranian Party will contribute to development of Zur-khaneh sport in the Republic of Serbia at the request of the Serbian Party.
Paragraph 3
1 - The Parties will support the preparation of specific plans, online meetings, exchange of letters or other instruments of cooperation. Each Party will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of its plans in relation to this MOU;
2 - In order to review the implementation of this MOU and determine the schedule of cooperation activities, meetings of Parties’ representatives will be carried out whenever deemed necessary.
Paragraph 4
For the purpose of carrying out the exchange activities foreseen under this MOU, expenses coverage in this respect will be considered and decided by both Parties, according to prior mutual consent and in compliance with respective national laws and regulations in both respective countries
Paragraph 5
Any dispute between the Parties arising from the interpretation or implementation of this MOU will be settled through amicable negotiation and through diplomatic channels.
Paragraph 6
This MOU may be amended by mutual written agreement of the Parties through diplomatic channels. Such amendments will constitute an integral part of the MOU and come into effect on the date of its signature by the Parties.
Paragraph 7
Coming into effect and duration
This MOU will come into effect upon its signature and will be valid for 4 years and it will automatically be extended for the same periods of 4 years, unless either Party notifies the other Party in writing and through diplomatic channels, of its intention to terminate this MOU at least six months prior to its expiration.
Termination of this MOU will not affect any form of agreed cooperation that has already started or is not completed yet.
This MOU comprising of a preamble and 7 Paragraphs was signed in duplicate in Serbian, Persian and English languages, at Belgrade on 11 January 2024 A.D. corresponding to 21 Dey 1402 S.H. all of the texts being equally valid. In case of any divergence of interpretation or implementation, the English text will prevail.
