MEMORANDUMOF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF SPORTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA AND THE MINISTRY OF YOUTH AND SPORTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE IN THE FIELD OF SPORTS("Off. Herald of RS - Treaties", No. 9/2024) |
The Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye (hereinafter referred to as collectively "the Participants" and individually as "the Participant"),
Desiring to continue developing cooperation in the field of sports,
Have decided as follows:
Paragraph 1
The Participants will encourage the cooperation in the field of sports including the following topics of cooperation:
- Institutional cooperation,
- Field of science and technology applied to sports,
- Sports medicine,
- Fight against negative phenomena in sports,
- Organization of sports events,
- Training of sports specialists,
- Support programs for the disabled,
- Sports for all,
- Sports infrastructure,
- Sports tourism,
- Sports volunteering,
- Traditional sports.
Paragraph 2
Within the framework of this cooperation, the Participants decide as follows:
1. Exchange of information and experience in the field of sports through consultations on the basis of reciprocity.
2. Exchange of experience in the field of design and construction of facilities, installation of sports equipment.
3. Exchange of periodical and other publications in the field of sports.
4. Participation in seminars, congresses and meetings in the field of sports on the basis of reciprocity.
5. Support for activities related to sports for all and sports for the sustainable development.
6. Exchange of specialists of national sports organizations.
Paragraph 3
The Participants will encourage the following forms of sports cooperation:
1. Experience exchange in the field of expert training on the basis of reciprocity.
2. Organization of trainings for staff performing technical, professional and administrative work in the field of sports.
3. Participation of their delegations in sports events organized in each country, respectively.
Paragraph 4
The Participants will encourage the strengthening of cooperation in the field of sports tourism, by inviting the representatives of national institutions to be present at sports events organized by each Participant with the aim to exchange experience in the field of sports tourism and to enhance development of this field in both countries.
Paragraph 5
The Participants will encourage cooperation in the field of sports within international organizations in order to exchange information and implement joint activities.
Paragraph 6
The Participants will make their own financial arrangements for implementing this Memorandum of Understanding in accordance with their budgetary availability and respective national legislations.
Paragraph 7
Any dispute concerning the application or interpretation of this Memorandum of Understanding will be settled amicably through consultations and negotiations between Participants.
Paragraph 8
This Memorandum of Understanding will come into effect upon signature and remain valid for a period of 5 (five) years. Unless one of the Participants notifies the other in writing of its intention to terminate this Memorandum of Understanding 6 (six) months prior to expiration of its validity, this Memorandum of Understanding will automatically be extended for successive periods of 5 (five) years.
Each Participant may terminate this Memorandum of Understanding at any time by giving to the other Participant a written notification to that effect. In this case, the Memorandum of Understanding will be terminated 90 days after the date of the receipt of the notification.
This Memorandum of Understanding may be amended by mutual written consent of the Participants at any time. The amendments will come into effect with the same procedure prescribed under the first subparagraph of this Paragraph.
The termination of this Memorandum of Understanding will not affect the implementation of any ongoing activities unless both Participants decide otherwise in writing.
Signed in Belgrade on 11 October 2024, in two original copies, each one in Serbian, Turkish and English languages, all texts being equally valid. In case of divergence of interpretation, the English text will prevail.
