MEMORANDUMBETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY AND WATER MANAGEMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA AND THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND LIVESTOCK OF THE REPUBLIC OF HONDURAS ON COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF AGRICULTURE("Off. Herald of RS - Treaties", No. 10/2024) |
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia and The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of the Republic of Honduras (hereinafter referred to as "the Parties"),
Desiring to foster friendly relations and enhance cooperation in the field of agriculture between two countries;
In accordance with the principles of equality, mutual respect and reciprocal benefit,
Declaring the intention to intensify cooperation between the Parties,
Have agreed as follows:
ARTICLE 1
The Parties shall promote cooperation in the field of agriculture in accordance with their competences and national legislations, taking into consideration the priorities and interests of both Parties.
ARTICLE 2
In order to achieve effective collaboration, the Parties shall support and promote concrete cooperation in the following fields:
1. Exchange of scientific and technical information and scientific research findings, as well as implementation of joint research programmes in the field of agriculture;
2. Exchange of experience in the field of development and introduction of modern technologies in the field of agriculture;
3. Promotion of business to business cooperation in the field of agriculture and allied sectors;
4. Cooperation in veterinary and phyto-sanitary fields related to animal health, welfare and breeding, as well as plant health and plant protection, including seed and other planting materials;
5. Cooperation in areas of biotechnology, organic agriculture, aquaculture and development of quality policy in the agriculture.
ARTICLE 3
Cooperation in the fields referred to Article 2 of this Memorandum shall be achieved through:
1. Mutual visits of representatives of scientific and research institutions;
2. Organization of trainings, and technical programs, symposia, seminars, conferences, exhibitions and fairs devoted to various fields of agriculture;
3. Mutual visits of representatives engaged in agricultural production and processing industry.
ARTICLE 4
The implementation of this Memorandum shall be without prejudice to the fulfilment of obligation of the Parties arising from bilateral and multilateral international agreements to which either of them is a State signatory and stemming from their respective membership in international and regional organizations.
ARTICLE 5
The Parties shall arrange, if necessary, joint meetings. The costs of organization of the meetings, are to be borne by the hosting Party. Each Party shall bear the travel costs of its own delegation.
The location, terms and agenda of such meetings are to be determined by the hosting Party.
ARTICLE 6
Any disputes arising from the interpretation and/or implementation of this Memorandum will be settled by the Parties through mutual consultations and negotiations.
ARTICLE 7
Amendments and/or additions may be made to this Memorandum by mutual written consent of the Parties, in the form of separate Protocols being an integral part of this Memorandum.
ARTICLE 8
This Memorandum is concluded for period of (5) five years.
This Memorandum shall be extended, automatically thereafter, for further successive (5) five years periods, unless one of the Parties notifies the other in writing through diplomatic channels, of its intention to terminate it at least (6) six months prior to the date of termination or expiry.
The termination or expiration of this Memorandum shall not affect the cooperation activities which have already commanced.
ARTICLE 9
This Memorandum shall enter into force upon signature.
Done and signed in Belgrade on December 12, 2024, in two original copies, each in Serbian, Spanish and English languages, all text being equally authentic. In case of divergence in interpretation, the English text shall prevail.
