PROTOCOLBETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF SPORTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA AND THE MINISTRY OF SPORTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN ON COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF PHYSICAL CULTURE AND SPORTS ("Off. Herald of RS - Treaties", No. 12/2025) |
The Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan (hereinafter referred to as the "Participants"),
Recognizing cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports as one of important and necessary elements in the development and strengthening of friendly relations between the peoples of both countries,
Striving to strengthen sports relations based on mutual benefit, respect, trust and consideration of the interests of the Participants,
Desiring to encourage the mutual use of physical culture and sports facilities to promote public health,
Taking into account the goals and principles of the Olympic Movement,
Have agreed as follows:
Article 1
The Participants will promote the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of physical culture and sports on a mutually beneficial basis in accordance with the legislation of the States of the Participants.
Article 2
The Participants will encourage cooperation between the sports federations in order to develop and strengthen international cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports as well as the organization of meetings and consultations to exchange experience and information.
In order to strengthen sports ties, the Participants will encourage the participation of Serbian and Uzbek athletes, coaches, referees, and organizers of the sports movement in competitions and international sports events held in both countries.
The Participants will encourage the holding of training camps, joint training sessions of national teams in various sports at the sports facilities of the two countries.
Article 3
The Participants will promote the exchange of experience in organizing mass sports events, attracting the population to physical activities.
The Participants will promote the exchange of scientific and methodological information on the problems of improving the health of the population by means of physical culture and sports, including initiatives supporting sports for people with disabilities.
Article 4
The Participants will promote the cooperation in training of personnel for technical, professional and administrative functions in the field of sports.
The Participants will encourage the participation of Serbian and Uzbek scientists and specialists in scientific congresses, symposia, seminars on physical culture and sports medicine organized in both countries.
The Participants will promote the exchange of scientific documents, information on the latest achievements in the field of high-performance sports, sports diagnostics, methods of medical and biological support and the use of modern scientific equipment and equipment in the training of high-class athletes.
The Participants will protect the integrity of information exchanged under this Protocol in accordance with the provisions of the respective national legislation.
Article 5
The Participants express support to the principles of fair play and seek to cooperate in preventing the use of prohibited means and methods in the training of athletes and during sports competitions.
Article 6
The Participants will encourage the exchange of experience in the management of sports facilities and the development of sports marketing.
Article 7
The Participants will promote the establishment of direct contacts between sports federations, training centers, scientific and educational institutions of a sports profile in order to develop sports in both countries.
The Participants agree that the forms of cooperation specified in this Protocol are carried out on the conditions of mutual respect and equality. The form, program and financial terms of implementation of this Protocol will be determined by the relevant authorities through consultations.
This Protocol does not constitute an international treaty and hence generates no rights and obligations under international law.
Article 8
By mutual agreement of the Participants, this Protocol may be amended and supplemented in writing through diplomatic channels. Such amendments and supplements will enter into force on the date of the last written notification by which the Participants inform each other that the amendments have been accepted.
Article 9
Any disputes and disagreements arising in connection with the interpretation or application of the provisions of this Protocol will be resolved through consultations and negotiations between the Participants.
Article 10
This Protocol will come into force from the date of its signing and will be valid for 5 (five) years. Upon expiration of the specified period, this Protocol will be automatically extended for subsequent five-year periods, provided that neither Participant expresses a desire to terminate it or change its provisions by written notification sent to the other Participant through diplomatic channels no later than 6 (six) months before the expiration of this Protocol.
Termination of this Protocol does not affect the implementation of activities agreed upon during its validity period, unless otherwise agreed by the Participants.
Signed in___________ on ______________ ___, 20__, in 2 (two) original copies each in the Serbian, Uzbek and English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of any divergence in the interpretation, the English text will prevail.
